RIESENDING - Jede Stunde Zählt This two-part eventmovie for german television is based on the true story of a passionate cave climber, who’s injured after a life threatening accident way deep in the so-called “Riesending” cave. Heavy stonewall caused an open skull fracture, that seems making it impossible to get him out of the cave alive. Given up from the official authorities, there’s a private initiative among Josef’s friends and caver community form all over Europe that finally took action to safe his life. This is Thomas’ first collaboration with the german director and Academy award winner („Toyland“) Jochen Alexander Freydank.

KIPCHOGE - The last milestone. When attempting to run the first marathon under two hours in Oct 2019 in Vienna, Austria Thomas was collaborating with Director Jake Scott on this project in which some of the most distinctive endurance athletes of our times take their appearance. To cover the event in Vienna, production employed 17 camera crews along the track. After this large scale production in Vienna, Jake and Thomas shot with a much smaller documentary crew for 3 weeks in Kenya around Eliud Kipchoge’s home in Eldoret to get a deeper insight in the life and attitude of this exceptional athlete.

For the international energy provider BKW Thomas created the 2020 campaign starring the 3x world champion and olympic winner Wendy Holdener. The film aims to create awareness about sustainability and claims that we all are challenged to rethink our energy consuming behaviours and will look for alternative solutions.

For Autostadt’s „Panoramakino“ Thomas created a series of 5 Mini-biopics to be screened on one of the largest LED screen in Europe. The production employed a specially designed rig with 3 6K cameras to capture the seamless immersive 12K format

For the Swiss tourism board Thomas created visual content promoting the upcoming winter holiday season. He worked with top class swiss skiers and employeed digital and analog projections in the studio and even on high altitude locations around Zermatt / Switzerland to create a stunning visual world.

Thomas signed as DoP for his longtime companion and co-director Philipp Kadelbach on Philipp’s feature film „So viel Zeit“ for UFA Fiction. Alongside other highly acclaimed german actors the picture stars Jürgen Vogel, Jan-Josef Liefers, Armin Rohde and Ritchie Müller.
